Nikos has a Bachelor of Science degree from the Department of Sports and Physical Education of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), specialized in swimming coaching and he is certified in Triathlon coaching from the World Triathlon Federation with a Level 2 coaching diploma.
He practices sports as he was a kid. He started triathlon at a young age during his studies and completed several races at Olympic distance.
He started working as a swimming coach at Olympiakos SFP in 2001 and from 2007 until today he is the head coach of Athlitiki Enwsi Keratsinioy working with athletes competing in National level.
From 2011 he has coached athletes at all levels and has the privilege of working with exceptional athletes and achieving great results:
1st place at European and World Championship AG, 70.3 (Herning 2017, Samorin 2018),
2nd place at World Championship Xterra AG (Maui 2017), participation at European Olympics (Baku 2015),
2nd place at European Long-Distance Championships (Poznan 2016) Elite category,
2nd place at Ironman 70.3 Greece (Costa Navarino 2019),
1st place at Ironman Malaysia AG (2019), several participations at Kona Ironman World Championships,
1st place at Aquathlon World Championships AG (Fyn 2018),
1st place at European Aquathlon Championships AG (Ibiza 2018),
1st place at Triathlon Nationan Championships from 2013 to 2019 (Elite Men), participation at European Triathlon Championship at junior category (Eilat 2012), participation at Balkan Championship at youth, juniors and elite category (Constanta 2011, Burgas 2014, Ohrid 2018), participation at European Cup at Elite category (Bratislava 2014)
He is a member at myathlete’s coaching team since 2023 and at his free time he is ‘’training’’ with his family.
