Nikos E. Dimitriadis, (Athens, 1970), Exercise Physiologist, is a PhD student at Harokopion University and has obtained the M.Sc. (1995) in Great Britain on the subject of Exercise Physiology.
His basic degree is from the Kapodistrian University of Athens in Physical Education and Sports (1993). Some of his scientific interests are ergophysiology, exercise and health of the general population and the positive effect of exercise on protection against cardiovascular diseases. He is the Founder (1992) and Director of the sports center myathlete (1992 – today).
In 2011-2012 he was the ergo physiologist of the Russian National Sailing team. From 2011-2020 he was the head coach of the Holmes Place running and triathlon teams. In the years 1999-2010 he was the head coach, head of the department and instructor of training seminars for coaches of the National Athletics Federation with participation in 5 Olympiads. In 1996-1997 he was the ergophysiologist in the Hellenic Air Force.
He has more than 10 conference publications. Some of his awards as ergophysiologist and coach are 1st place in the 2004 Olympic Games (Athanasia Tsoumeleka), 2nd place in the 2016 Cycling World Cup (Christos Volikakis), 4th place in the 2012 Olympic Games (National Sailing Team of Russia), and the two first places in the European Youth in 2003 (Athanasia Tsoumeleka and Yiannis Kanellopoulos).
As an athlete he has taken 4th place in Balkan indoor track and field 800m in 1999. He was awarded best track and field coach in all of Europe in 2003 and the European Athletics Federation in 2004. His interest includes marathon running (8 finishes), and trail running together with mountain sports.
