She is a graduate of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science of the Kapodistrian University with a master’s degree in Specialization in Sports Sciences and Exercise Physiology from the Metropolitan University of Leeds in England. Her scientific dissertation was an experimental research design, focusing on comparing methods for identifying the lactate threshold, which was nominated for the Prince de Merode Award. Following her studies, she specialized in ergometry, evaluation, and exercise for individuals with chronic non-communicable diseases at the University of Thessaly. Her coaching career in cycling naturally followed her athletic journey and academic studies and continues to this day. She received a professional license from the General Secretariat of Sports. She has worked in cycling coaching from very young ages to athletes in competitive categories of men and young adolescents at a national level.

She was a competitive cyclist, receiving national-level distinctions in endurance and speed road and track sports. As an exercise physiologist, she has worked for 22 years, consistently being part of the same scientific team. Her scientific papers have been presented at the 7th International Olympic Congress (IOC – October 2003) and the 54th Annual Meeting of the ACSM (June 2007).

A significant period in her career was when she worked for the Olympic Games ‘Athens 2004’ as a Venue Coordinator at the Olympic Velodrome.
She has served in public education for over twenty years. She served for two years as a member of the educational team at the Environmental Education Center in Arcadia, with educational programs focusing on the Environment, Nature, and Sustainable Development.

She is a mother of one child. She enjoys traveling, mountaineering, reading, theater, and cinema. She has attended climbing and canyoning school. She has participated in and completed many cycling brevets in Greece, including the major ones: Peloponnese Tour 1000 km and 6×200 km Athens – Alexandroupolis.
